Question for Canadians

What was/is the general opinion of Canadians on Prohibition? I'd imagine some combination of confusion and amusement. I can't see them thinking the decision to outlaw liquor was a good idea, given like the US they had a lot of descendants of countries with strong drinking cultures like England Scotland and Ireland.

oooooo i have some! Where does the name Canada come from? Is it worth it to visit your country? if so, where? Im American but I’ll answer some! The girls are on average cuter in Canada. The beef/steak tastes different up there. They love a place called Boston pizza. (And of course tim hortons).

My mom's side of the family were a bunch of moonshiners. Pretty sure everyone thought it was retarded but just got booze off bootleggers because they were all over the place.
