To give a serious answer…yes. This is the only company boycott i’ve actually seen work. The answer isn’t that people hate trannies but that Bud Light drinkers do.

First of all lets look at the Gilette thing. They did some ad about toxic masculinity that was inoffensive. It wasn’t some bold statement of…anything really. People kept buying Gillette because they’re good razors, the controversy was non existent, and their product doesn’t have an identity tied to it. ANYONE CAN DO IT! (shave) Most other boycotts follow the same pattern. Company with no identity makes inoffensive left adjacent statement, boycott announced, doesn’t work because product is too valuable and it all outweighs controversy.

The tranny Bud Light shit was a perfect storm. Trannies are super fucking divisive right now obviously. If they put Elton John or some other fag on the can no one would give a shit, but its the fact it was a trans, and a monster looking one at that. Second, obviously, their consume base is basically one identity. Republican hicks who aren’t with that gay shit and would legitimately boycott.

However I think its a short term thing. Beer drinks have a taste and wouldn’t give up their favorite drink. The sales drop was quarterly. The “go woke go broke” bullshit is so wrong and antithetical to what drives cancel culture in the first place. We live in a time where even the most inoffensive thing is unacceptable. Celebrities are products used to advertise. Having a celebrity associated with controversy, no matter how minor, affects the ability to advertise and sales. So they get fired. Ask yourself why Cumia was fired while Stern hasn’t been. It has nothing to do with reputation or taking a stance on moral issues. These are the same companies that stage coups in foreign countries, supported segregation, and act as an arm for the CIA and USA. They don’t give a shit about anything but profit.

Wouldn't be surprised if that horsefaced woman that was supposedly behind the idea got some kind of cut to be the fall guy for this scheme.
