Richard is the best. Some of the funniest old Howard TV episodes were the ones centered around him. Like Artie's Roast where he shows up already obliterated and then just gets even drunker throughout it. Probably the best one though is when him and JD go to this horror convention and they're just tormenting all the nerds there and fucking with the "celebrities" that showed up. I'll put the dailymotion link for it below (30 mins in is the funniest part).
