I didn't like El-P's earlier work during my first listenings of them. Years later I was able to appreciate the sound of some of the songs more and understand why it got some praise.

Man, I was just thinking of this album the other day. Haven't listened to it in years but 8 Steps to Perfection has been stuck in my head for months now.
