I could be getting some of the details wrong but basically this chick named Zoe Quinn was fucking guys to get positive reviews on her lame video games. One of the guys posted online about it exposing the whole thing. It would have been a who-gives-a-fuck type story that everyone forgot about except all discussion of it was being deleted on sites like Reddit and 4chan. This led to 8chan being created as a free speech platform.

Mainstream "news" sites started writing one-sided articles with zero research (sound familiar?) about how gamers are canceled, toxic masculinity, bla bla bla. This caused a Streisand effect of people getting pissed off about online censorship and lying journalists. The media doubled down, of course, like they always do.

Lots of fake gamer girls, trannies, and other grifters saw the opportunity to claim victimhood status and say they were being harassed by the toxic white male gamers. The media can not waste any opportunity to attack white male masculinity so they blew the whole situation up into something bigger than it ever was and started writing more bullshit articles, making Law and Order episode, etc.

Patrick has had to deal with all the trolling and harassment of a gamer gate target so he thinks he deserves the positive media coverage and e-celeb status that others have gotten. The only problem is Pat is not sympathetic at all and comes off like a lunatic to anyone who does 30 seconds of research on him. He would have a better shot if he cut his dick off like Brianna Wu.

I think that he saw the controversy as an opportunity to claim he was being harassed by trolls (possibly after instigating them a la Fatrick) and use it to excuse his failures as a developer and also get some victimhood points.

I believe this was Fatso's strategy also. Mix it up with the trolls to get some media attention and spin that into being a political firebrand or whatever. He has gotten the attention but he can't parlay it into anything because he is a straight white guy and nobody cares about his problems. He has to be from a protected group for the woke mob to catch his back.

He said he left his house because of death threats and did a livestream interview and internet autists deduced he was in the exact same house he said he fled. He also tried to post bait on steam forums to get people to trash his game but forgot to log out of his account like a retard. Also this troon ran for senator or something and got destroyed.
