I hated how they blackballed the guy.
Fine if they didnt want him to manage after his gambling, even if I disagree with it, but as player he was always deserving and never did anything to be banned when he played.
Not to mention gambling has always given massive profits to sports and now all the ads we see are for gambling bullshit.

Cool that Buck Weaver and Shoeless Joe finally got reinstated, though. Jackson deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Weaver wasn't a Hall of Fame-level player, but he didn't deserve to be banned in the first place. They shouldn't have reinstated the rest of the Black Sox though.

It's just a money thing at this point. A 'hall of fame' player or musician can print money. And for the nerds and losers who are sports writers and music critics they can feel good about themselves by denying the jocks and rock stars a place in their special club. Curt Schilling is literally not in the hall of fame because of his politics and not his actual play as a professional. That's how little it matters anymore.
