People who mock “conspiracy theorists” or “truthers” or “doomers” - why? Sincerely asking - why?

If you sent a laptop back 100 years they might figure out how to turn it on and charge, or even how to type on it.

They’d never understand wifi, mobile data and networks in the air that connect it to everybody all at once. That would sound like crazy religious nonsense to smarty pants atheists.
Jacques Valie (dumb french name, however you spell it) posited an idea for UFO’s that was really eye opening. Someone asked him:

“If UFO’s are everywhere why are we not seeing them constantly”

His response was this:

“…Think what a hard time you would have convincing an aborigine that right now, through this room, TV pictures are passing! Yet they're here. You have to have a transducer to see them -- namely a TV set. Well, in the same sense there may be interlocking universes right here! We have this idea of space, we always think of another universe being someplace else. It may not. Maybe it's right here."

Because you take legitimate "conspiracies" and and reduce legitimacy by bringing up nonsense ones.

"Non-human consciousness" covered up by the government is legitimate. Downplaying a virus that was serious as fuck is nonsense. People for real died from it and it wasn't simple flu. So you immediately tie the two things together, devaluing the one with credibility.

Conspiracies 15+ years ago were at least worth a second look by a general audience. Then, right wingers realized there was a lot of money to be made in scaring the voters, so conspiracies became a political tool. Fucking dummies.

If you’re interested in UFOlogy read this document. It’s a full timeline of every (credible) UFO report since the 40’s. Theres a ton of shit in here you seriously won’t find anywhere else and a majority of these accounts are from extremely credible or decorated officials.

This is sort of simplyifing it. (This isn’t an argument, just a discussion.)

This assumes everyone who doesn’t believe in UFO’s has never seen the evidence. Most have and it doesn’t mean anything to them. Which I understand - You can’t say these things are 100% real based on circumstantial evidence alone.

For people to believe UFO’s exist one would basically need to land right in front of them. And even still there’s a 50/50 chance the dude who sees it is convinced the Government created that to distract him from Trump or Biden or something.

This is the problem with UFOlogy. Post 1950’s and the Condon Report + Blue Book there has been a public campaign to delegitimitize UFO research and paint it out as a fantasy - Little green martian men in colorful UFO’s. So when you talk about UFO’s people assume you’re talking about some sci fi shit.

I promise you, promise you if you approach this from a spiritual (that’s a poor word for it, but it will do) perspective and read about all these questions you have from holy texts and theologians you’ll gain immense insight. These people were the thought leaders and scientists of their day, it’s very childish to think they’re all idiots who believe in idiot things.

Read CS Lewis.

Final ramble on UFO’s…ultra conspiracists will point towards Glowies confirming UFO’s as evidence of them NOT being real rather than the opposite. This I don’t get.

The conspiracy has ALWAYS been that the government knows more than it tells us. But suddenly when someone in the government comes out and tells the truth its treated as nonsense, that nothing ever just leaks. Obviously this is a distraction.

It makes no sense. In this case the Feds are the best asset we have.

I looked at the death tolls of seasonal respiratory viruses and saw it was normal in history, and I looked at the average mortality of this one and saw it was older than the average life span and it was mostly contained to end of life care facilities and all of the young deaths were because of ventilators.

There are of course people who died at any age or health status, just as they do from every virus ever.

It was total bullshit and the vaccine was the single largest medical malpractice in history.

I think the problem is you’re conflating two very different conspiracies as the same. Sure, “Jews control everything” and “UFO’s are real” are both conspiracies but they’re so vastly different in terms of evidence and implication.

Lets take the jewish one for example. “You’re crazy for believing jews run the banks!” Well, pull up a list of bankers and it’s all jews. But if someone said “You’re crazy for believing in UFO’s!!!” what would you even say? I believe in UFO’s and even i know I sound crazy, because what I am saying is there is some advanced off world technology in the governments possession that has been hidden for 100 years that we have no physical evidence of and also btw these things have been here for 2000 years.
Clearly Jews are alien lizard shape shifting demons from outer space, but their religion is also where Christianity comes from

The more you grasp towards the truth, towards Him, the more you have to overcome and suffer, the more you are targeted by “them” on any level to keep you from it.

I know full well how that sounds and have spent a long time never saying it because I might just be going mentally ill, I know how it sounds. I used to be “that guy” who I always laugh about now. My best friend went crazy and killed himself, the last time I spoke to him he said he was seeing demons and I was cruel and laughed about it. Now I believe some people just see clearer than others, in fact I know they do because it’s been proven - it’s an evolutionary trait you can pinpoint on medical scans. Gary Nolan talks about it often.

The only thing I’ll concede is that it may be wrong that it’s about to all come out or something is going to happen that moves it from the peripheral into the every day, maybe it never will, maybe it’s always felt like that, maybe it’s meant to feel like that. Maybe that’s part of it.

I don’t talk about in real life because of the stigma, but one joke I will tell in real life is funny and also very subtly shows the truth to people who know. “I don’t know man, it’s wild. Who knows? But if you travel to the Antarctic and explore without permission, you’ll be killed”

You’re right but I always find them interesting, if I don’t get it or think it’s real I won’t immediately mock them, I’ll look into it myself.

It’s just a mind set thing I think, some people are just lazy and don’t want to beleive society has ever or will ever function differently than how it does right now for them.
I tend to believe there’s a serous framing issue with how your average conspiracy theorist talks about their beliefs. They always start off really heavy, spouting off about wrongdoing and cover ups and manipulation, then they tie it to politics, all while assuming people know the event they’re talking about.

Your average normie who thinks Bill Burr is edgy and Marvel movies are good is going to go in defense mode or tune out completely.

If you polled the average American, at least 30% couldn’t tell you who the Vice President is at any given time so they’re not going to be able to follow along with your conspiracy theory about Klaus Schwab. They just don’t have the capacity or intellectual curiosity.

I think it all needs to be centered around furthering your own understanding of something and as part of that, you explored a lot of different angles to get a comprehensive view. Then you can go into your learnings about Klaus Schwab and eating bug proteins.

I totally agree with that, I’m just at a loss to understand those people who don’t think about anything, ever deeper than what references are in the movies they like.

I still have friends who brag about never reading books. It’s not that they don’t understand the truth, it’s that they just have no interest in ever thinking about anything that doesn’t provide them instant dopamine.

Don't get me wrong Uber skeptics like Penn Jillette are massive fucking faggots. But you can not trust the government and also not have to believe in the most wild fringe theories, which by the way the CIA pushes to discredit legitimate conspiracies.

JFK conspiracy definitely real. 9/11 we let it happen. Alien visits probably real in some capacity, although 95% are DARPA weapons tests, masons/illuminati/Jews probably more like swiss banks (owned by Jews) trying to make as much money as possible, hollow earth with lizards/Nazi living inside . . . Probably not

Yeah, I get jealous and resentful of them because it would be nice to go through life like that, but it’s not in the cards for some people.

Most people still think their vote for president matters. Of course they're going to think conspiracy theorists are nutty.

To add on to this, "conspiracy theorist" used to mean "crackpot who thinks Lizard Jesus lives on the moon with Elvis" but now it means "literally anyone who questions anything Jewish". It has lost all meaning.

I don’t believe I have any control over or will ever have the truth on these matters. It’s out of our hands. Therefore, instead of engaging with these ideas, I’d prefer to spend time with family, enjoy nature, check out literature and other great art and generally enjoy the nice things in life.
This but instead of the family bullshit I jack off to porn and post on a forum with a bunch of faggots

It’s without doubt that there’s a non human consciousness on Earth that’s potentially been here longer than we have - and it’s been covered up by the government since the 30s (or earlier) - why don’t you want to know about that? Why don’t you want to read about that?

If you read old historical and religious texts about interacting with angels from above, or Ezekiel’s wheels - shields in the sky etc. This stuff is real and at best they are ambivalent to us.

Why wouldn’t you want to know about this stuff?

It’s obvious authority is evil and they will lock you down over the flu and even disruptments to the supply chain cause chaos. Why wouldn’t you want a few months long life food kept, just in case? Or know how to find and clean drinking water? Or where to go and what to do if the power goes down and there’s no internet etc?

I genuinely do no understand being willfully ignorant of possibly living in an astoundingly disruptive era of humanity and bragging about how you don’t know anything and are dependant on consooming.
I think it's easier and more comfortable for people to turn their nose up at shit they themselves haven't bothered looking up.
Granted, some of it is mental sounding but one thing that bothers me is "anti-flat earthers", I don't think the earth is flat but if people do, who gives a care? You'd love my dad, he's all in wit the aliens, "there's been another breakthrough", has there?

Edit: should've read the whole thread, I'm just poorly regurgitating other people's points
