He didn’t take his daughter. Patrick could have easily stayed in her life (I’m of the thought that it was Patrick’s idea to sign away the rights). Ade and Jon even tried to give him visitation and kept a photo album to show Annabelle. They stopped the visitation after Patrick kept making odd demands, and stopped the photo book after Pat made threats.
Pat, of course, blames them and wants to shut on their graves.
