The way I see it, it doesn't even matter too much if the recording can be directly shown to a judge or not. If Quasi has to go through the lengths of deposing the pig, Jen can straight up ask him "did you say it?" and if he commits perjury it's a huge pointless risk. At most he might try to plead the 5th out of it, but that sounds just as sus to a judge as admitting it for the purpose of determining he's deliberately delinquent on his debt.

I'm not an expert on constitutional law, but I think the 5th is for criminal cases, where as this is civil.

I said attempt because I think it's unlikely he can, but the way I thought of it is that his deliberate non-payment is contempt of court which is a crime so in some circunstances he could plead the 5th if the answer would be self incriminatory. I doubt answering *whether he said that in an interview* qualifies though, so he'd have to answer and it looks really bad.
