I have cousins who have diabetes and one of them just died from it but that's because he got really lazy with it and hated checking his levels. He died in his sleep. It's very manageable and most people would rather have diabetes than Cancer for sure. Either way, he's being disingenuous or just legitimately retarded (probably both). I still don't understand how he thinks it's a bad thing that a 6 year old took initiative and went out and earned himself a dog instead of going to mommy and saying please can you buy me a dog? I'm sure the parents would have but he didn't want to do it that way. There's a lot of people in this world who don't want handouts. Fat is NOT one of them. For a guy who claims to be a medical professional for decades he doesn’t realize diabetes is MUCH more manageable than cancer. I’ve had people in my family that had either the child or adult diabetes that lived long lives by taking care of themselves and watching their levels. To compare type 1 diabetes to something that’s possibly terminal like cancer shows he’s a fat idiot.
Rick is on the fast track to having a form of diabetes any day now so he will eventually learn the difference between Diabetes and Cancer soon enough.
