Most people who constantly talk about how poor they were and how bad their upbringing was are full of shit.

Broadly speaking, people who really suffered don’t want to talk about it, don’t want to think about it and are full of empathy for people in that life. They don’t do the “I made it with hard work and so can you” routine that liars love to do.

You’ll know the feeling, when you have to listen to some fucking drama queen sermonise about their terrible childhood and just quietly think they don’t know what they’re talking about and because you don’t talk about your own they just assume yours was fantastic and you can’t imagine their victimhood.
