You guys are in for it when DMAN parks his rig and browses this on the truckstop communal computer
DMCA, complaints, and other inquiries:
Not even modest -- a swanky place on a bit of land in a tony part of town. Real estate in the northeast for boomers like them has been like printing money. If Opie (and Anthony) just bought modest homes
Damn, I would get one if I had the room. They are great dogs but you can’t play around with temperaments and dogs. That does make senseI also think it's a cool dog. The guy that originally bred labradoodles and all those doodle dogs said he regrets it because they're all fucked up messes with shitty temperaments but every one I've come across in person has been really nice and chill.
That is exactly why. Anthony was positive he could spend his money wisely.good investments and being frugal; the polar opposite of how anthony handled his money
He's a little head at the bottom of the frame, and the other 80% is the view outside and to the ground so you can see how high up he is and the river. Every OpieRadio stream is a low-key flex. He could have setup his laptop anywhere, but he chose that spot for a reason and never moves.
Speaking of that, he's streaming that view live right now haha. He's not even in it or anything, it's literally just "here's my view - live!"
Faawkin righteous numbers too as you can see
In O&A's defense, they had no way to know the radio business was dwindling and they couldn't keep making millions a year until they were 70.From 5 Million A Year to West Side Highway Traffic Cam: The Gregg "Opie" Hughes Story
If Opie and Anthony had this foresight they wouldn't have gotten fired in the most preventable ways ever imaginable. In O&A's defense, they had no way to know the radio business was dwindling and they couldn't keep making millions a year into their 70s.
Oh, wait, it was obvious for almost their entire career that the same medium FDR did his fireside chats on way dying and the internet was going to revolutionize it.
Did you ever hear them getting nervous about podcasts, or did they think satellite radio was their get-out-of-jail free card and just regular radio was dead?

My timeline might be fucked up, but by the time Ant was fired, hadnt adam carolla already shown previous radio guys could find success doing their own thing?Something to remember also is that when O&A should have been worrying about podcasts, the most viewed YouTube video was The Evolution of Dance and the most subbed YouTuber was the AVGN. So, nobody really knew where things were gonna go and how quickly.
Anthony ALMOST had the right idea with LFTC. Had he run LFTC through a Patreon, or better yet, Opie quits after Anthony's firing and start a Patreon. They had tons of heat and it would have been fairly successful in my opinion. Had they charged $10 a month back in 2014 and managed 15,000 paying subs (which I think they could have done easy) they would have been paid out almost a million a year each. They probably even could've gotten away with 3 or 4 shows a week. Follow the conventions around on weekends, make a couple grand for nothing. They could've been just fine. It's almost impossible how hard they fucked up a good thing.
Both Opie & Anthony surrounded themselves with yes-men, not people who had their best interests and the show in mind.
You’re forgetting that these two were utter retards who knew dick about technology and didn’t have their fingers on the pulse of…well, anything. These retards were debating how they could get podcast equipment into NYC. In 2013. Even when Anthony started his podcast he went with a dinosaur subscription model and tried to make a whole streaming network. The constant line from Opie with podcasts was shit like “We’d need someone to faaawwkin run the thing and get us set up all nice! That podcast thing needs a few more fffawwwkin years before its off the ground!”Something to remember also is that when O&A should have been worrying about podcasts, the most viewed YouTube video was The Evolution of Dance and the most subbed YouTuber was the AVGN. Lol by that time both Adam Carolla and Joe Rogan were huge. They loved working for a corporation because it meant everything was provided for them. You didn’t have to hire someone to do payroll, or interview people to hire them. The company magically provided them producers and interns so all they had to do was talk into the mic for 3 hours and not worry about anything else.My timeline might be fucked up, but by the time Ant was fired, hadnt adam carolla already shown previous radio guys could find success doing their own thing?
Ironically, O and A both seemed to love the security blanket of working for a corporation rather than doing their own thing, even tho it obviously bit them in the ass in the end
You do have to begrudgingly give the drunken Berber credit for the LFTC concept, but the problem with that becoming big is the renowned Cumia laziness and he used it to broadcast himself:You’re forgetting that these two were utter retards who knew dick about technology and didn’t have their fingers on the pulse of…well, anything. All three of them were just old fogeys. No conception of evolving mediums. Look at Howie. Still on the radio in 2024 and believes it’s the biggest medium ever. The boys, with their desperate need to compete with him, would rather try to be bigger than Howie in radio than do their own thing and be bigger than him with a podcast.

He’s rolling in the dough now that he gets money for tweeting. Unless something recently happened to that gravy train. That is exactly why. Anthony was positive he could spend his money wisely.
Remember when he used to always talk about investing on the show. Like it was a low flex.
I think he never won a huge amount. And the whole bitcoin mining.
