I hate to be the well akshually guy but I know if you're using new or pressure-treated lumber, you're supposed to let it dry/cure/whatever for a month or 2 and then stain it. Granted, it's been sitting there for almost a month but it might not be ready yet. These are pre-made panels so maybe they're stain ready and I think if they're made of cedar you can stain them right away. Since we're talking about Rick, we can probably assume he could have done it and was just lazy. He'll probably wait like 6 months and then try to stain it but it will be all fucked up by then.
Actually who are we kidding, he'll probably pay someone masculine to do it for him while he sits at Hooligans. Then he'll take a pic of the finished product Tweet it with a vague comment that makes it appear that he did the work.
