Man, that movie really sucked. There's a scene where the one guy is with his wife, and he knows she's fucking someone else. They're on the beach, and you see the ocean churning in the background, and I thought "oh, he's gonna drown her in the ocean". Then he does. It was as inept and stupid as anything Kevin Smith has ever done.

It's all shit. Even scenes from classics like platoon where they're all smoking weed and the mo-town song is playing or casino with the 'aaaaces hiiiigh' shit is unbearably douchey to me now and it just gets worse. Good for these douchebag actors I hope the whole 'industry' implodes.

Artie Lange once pitched a skit on MadTV called "Good Will Smith". It was a trailer parody of Good Will Hunting with an all black cast. At the end of the trailer the camera would slowly zoom away from the chalkboard with the unsolvable math problem on it that none of the characters could get. Finally revealing that the problem was " 2+2=? " and that none of them but Will Smith could solve it and that by finding it was "4" would be a genius amongst the blacks.

Needless to say, the other cast members passed on this one.

This was a movie I loved when I first saw then I showed it to someone years later and got second hand embarrassment

Bronx Tale is wildly overrated.

I think it comes from being Chazz Palmintieri's writing from his show, so everyone's dialogue just sounds like him. It would have been worse if the actors weren't at least decent.

Charlie Sheen finding the guys raping the broad and being like "what the fuck are you doing!" in that cheesy way was cringe. And a lot of the voiceover. If it hadn't depended on him being a good actor so much it would have been a better movie.
The chick announcing the show was Pesci's wife I guess (at least at the time, not sure if she still is). It took a ton of takes because she was just a terrible actress

I remember watching both it and the sequel because a friend insisted we watch it and I drank myself into an alcoholic stupor and don't remember anything except their faggy execution line because he kept repeating it like it was something cool.

I only perked up when Billy Connolly showed up and his part was cut miserably short as it always was.
