Jerry’s apartment had a VHS copy on his shelf of the film “Wired” which is the 1989 John Belushi bio pic that was a huge bomb and had no involvement from Belushi’s family and people like Lorne Michaels, John Landis, Dan Aykroyd threatened to sue. Belushi was played by Michael Chiklis and it almost killed his career before it even got started. Michael was on an early episode of Seinfeld which is why it’s on the shelf.

The movie itself is terrible and weird and hasn’t even been put on DVD but I think is on YouTube. Aykroyd hated the movie so much he actually had an actor fired from a supporting role in his movie “Loose Cannons” because they had a lead role in Wired.

He also has Tetris on NES and Sim City on SNES but I've never seen the system there. I remember George having a Virtual Boy in his apartment in the later seasons.

The Wired movie is one to look up, they had to change all kinds of stuff to avoid being sued (had to make up SNL skits Belushi didn’t do - I think the blues brothers had to be called the brothers blues, change names, etc) and for a scene involving a guy obviously playing John Landis they put a sound of Helicopter while he’s walking on set - a reference to John Landis helicopter accident on Twilight Zone that killed 3 actors.

The movie itself is weird - it starts with Belushi dead and goes into a “it’s a wonderful life” type movie with dead Belushi seeing parts of his life with his guardian Angel which is a Hispanic cab driver played by actor Ray Sharkey who died of aids not long after the movie.

I saw that. It wasn't good but I don't get why they got so pissed off about it. The dude was a drug addict so yeah he had some destructive, negative behavior. You can't tell that story and leave that out.

Get a job working 1 night a week in a restaurant and you'll know spanish in a month.
My brother and brother in law both speak Spanish because of working in restaurants, my BIL is off the boat Greek too so he had to learn English as well. I can speak it too if it revolves around kitchen stuff, I left when the cheap labor were Bangladeshi not Mexicans so I didn't learn as much

They don’t like that part of his story which is why they were upset and all threatened to sue. The book it’s based on is great - I got it about 20 years ago on Amazon or eBay because I think it’s still out of print because of legal reasons (everyone interviewed got upset) and even mentioned Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro were the last people partying with Belushi and one of them were possibly the one who called the girl who brought a speedball. To this day when Robert DeNiro does an interview it’s sent out before to whoever is interviewing him they can NOT ask him anything about John Belushi.

It’s the same with why we will probably never eee a proper Jimi Hendrix bio pic - his family doesn’t want any story about him that involves drugs even though it’s how he died. They won’t even let you use Hendrix music in a movie scene involving drugs.

Not bad

What about this one? What genre do you think it is? It looks like a guy standing up, looking at the camera like "What now?!". So I'm guessing it's a comedy. I'm sure one of you know the title though.

And it's funny because if they left out the stuff that people don't know like the drug stuff it'd just be a movie where an actor plays Belushi playing his characters reliving movies and sketches you've seen 1000 times already and who wants to watch that? Pretty sure Cathy Smith, who injected him, was with him all night before he returned to his room though. Seems sorta suspicious that deniro flatly refuses to discuss it. It makes him just seem guiltier, like Walken refusing to discuss Natalie Wood.

Yeah I know Robin Williams also had a similar request whenever doing interviews to not ask about Belushi or that night. From what I remember Belushi had been at Chateu for a while on a long binge writing scripts all coked out (I remember he wrote a script based on the story in Steely Dan’s Hey 19) and went to the Roxy and Rainbow on Sunset the night he died.

The Belushi family wanted that type of movie to ignore him being an erratic mess - he actually had a drug body guard that quit because he was too much to deal with. That same guy named “Smokey” worked with Joe Walsh to get him clean. The book was long but holy shit was it detailed and everyone who talked later regretted it since it was heavy on Belushi’s crazy behavior. John Landis said he punched Belushi in the face on the set of Blues Brothers because he was such a mess then later said he didn’t. There’s a scene in Blues Brothers where he just has to sit on the hood of the car and was so fucked up he couldn’t even do that - which seems be when he punched him (a black eye would have been easy to hide thanks to the hat / sunglasses)

Why don't you go wherever you actually want to go and live life? You don't need some master plan to start a family. Go somewhere you want to be, where you can properly communicate with people and eventually you'll meet a woman you like and you'll fall in love and start a family.

The way you remove all emotion from it is weird to me. It's like you want to go shopping in person for a mail order bride. Why would you want to start a family with that? Wouldn't you rather do that with someone you know you love and who loves you and you enjoy spending time with, etc? Someone who's on the same page with you regarding raising kids and you trust to be a good mother?

I get you're a trust fund kid and you need an heir or whatever, but it sounds like you're gonna put a baby in someone you don't really care about because I don't think you know what love is. You're like Forrest Gump is he was autistic. "I am not a smart man and I don't know what love is." Also, do you want to leave your riches to some mutt kid from a mother who just wanted to mooch off a desperate rich guy?

I just think certain things need to fall into place on their own. It's like you're setting up an arranged streetshitter marriage for yourself.

I'd like to read that book honestly. Sounds like they just regretted being candid. But as much as they complained about the book, they can't point to anything untrue.
But I remember reading his body guard had been largely successful keeping him sober and he was doing so well Belushi felt he didn't need him anymore. Then he relapsed. But then it could just be he was a lying junkie trying to remove an obstacle to him going back to using.

It was a little bit of both, he had gotten clean for continental divide but was back to using due to the disaster that was filming the movie Neighbors which I remember being an interesting part of the book. The book might be hard to find (I had to use Amazon 20 years ago when nobody really knew what Amazon did) but was very detailed and I think many were candid because they talking to Bob Woodward who was behind breaking the watergate scandal. Many felt what Woodward put in there about Belushi “lacked context”

Lol. Its impossible to get an attractive, quality girlfriend here. I looked at thr instagrams of 2 white local chicks ive dated in the past year... theyre obese now. Like fucking hell lol.

Everyone here is trash. Yet every time i go overseas, i meet perfect women.

Im in my 30s now, i need to be autistic and plan this out before its too late.
