Greenville is the worst kind of town to eat at in the south. If it were a tiny podunk town you’re almost guaranteed it’ll have a great bbq spot, if it’s Atlanta you’ll have some decent metropolitan food. A town the size of Greenville has a handful of casual dining restaurants that specialize in a burger and a steak, and a ton of chains. It’s cute that Nana is pretending she gets any calories from anything other than booze, though.

Interesting question. Did Nana pay Joe on the books, and deduct payroll taxes and such, or was it strictly a guinea-style arrangement? Because if that was all off-the-books, Joe's maximum SS payment will be like fifty bucks a month. How much of that tribute band and solo Joe income was even declared? I'd guess none. His cruise paycheck was his first real paycheck in decades.
