Nope, I'm still a pureblood. A year ago, she was telling everyone to get the vaccine. These days, she's hoping that herd immunity will kick in. I lost so much respect for my conservative boomer parents during the pandemic. They are nanny state progressives when it comes to covid and buy all of the talking points even if some of the talking points contradict with other talking points. My mom almost died last winter, but it wasn't because of covid. It was because she spent the last two years cooped up in the house taking a deadly cocktail of opioids, anti-depressants, and sleeping pills. The pandemic truly proved that boomers are the worst generation in American history.

One thing I don't have is a queer spelling style that uses "u" in words it's not needed. When covid was directly inbound and they were lying saying it was like the black death, maybe staying out circulation for a few weeks could have tamped down the infections, but with such a low death rate and so many people still circulating it was clear it was to stall the economy not the virus. At this point the reasoning has shifted into "to protect the hospitals" as we deny people access to the hospitals and needed surgeries to keep alive 97 year old nursing home patients. Makes sense lol.
All the money could have been used to turn nursing homes in to super safe places and save actual lives. But boomers didn’t want to be inconvenienced by getting sick and taking a tiny risk of having serious disease so they shut down the world.
