1. But you’re still going to need oil, because it goes into a million other things, besides just your car.
2. The pursuit of healthcare is public but it’s labor - down to the specific doctor/provider - isn’t. The more incentive you provide to people who may want to pursue a career in healthcare (ie: MONEY), the better the overall care is. Although yes, healthcare is way too expensive in this country.
3. Those numbers that you’ve provided are stupid, fake and gay but let’s take them at face value: “50% of jobs can be done from home”. If you mean to say that a good majority of them can be done from home, because our industries are largely drowning in a sea of bloated, worthless positions (various subsections of middle management, “diversity” roles, etc.) and busywork - created by those positions from people looking to justify those positions - that ultimately weighs down productivity instead of enhancing it? Then yeah: A good majority of jobs - specifically corporate ones - can and should be done from home, if only to cut out the aforementioned fat.
“50% deserve more than they’re being paid.” EVERYONE thinks that about their jobs. Companies need profit margins to grow and certain positions have very clear limits of earnings that, no matter how long you stay in the position, you will not be able to earn more than you already are, and it’s on you to understand that and work towards finding a position that has more potential for overall growth, which ultimately means more responsibility AND more risk. You should not get $100k a year, for just working at Mcdonald's. Sorry 🤷🏻
4. “That we live in a society and not an economy”. WRONG: You live in a society AND an economy. You don’t get to have an ideal world where everything just works all the time, all of your needs magically appear right in front of you, and there are 0 trade-offs to any of your utopian visions. Can’t exist; won’t ever exist. If COVID proved anything, it’s proven that - yes - no man is an island, but hitting the pause button on the world turning is also just as bad as cowering away from a disease, no matter how destructive. And it’s BECAUSE we live in a world of trade-offs. We’re a society, but we’re also a FUCKING economy. Get over it.

I believe in universal health care, every tax paying citizen should have access to all the care it's country can muster. It's like this in almost every other country in the world, it should be like this here too. Oil is absolutely necessary, how does he think he was able to buy all those funko pops of his? They were delivered by an oil consuming cargo ship. His 20 sided dice were created from oil based plastics. 75% of his beloved mustang is made of the same plastic.
Oil is here to stay, electric cars are not the solution, hydrogen might be a solution but it is nowhere near ready for mass production. Like the Macarena electric cars are just a fad the collective have latched onto. These car companies that have pledged all electric production by 2030 are in for a giant dick in their ass when they realize it's not a feasible alternative

Patrick doesn’t even realize what he’s advocating for. He basically wants Communism, but communism is also society and an economy, just the gains/losses are distributed equally (theoretically).

As much as it would suck to live under Communism, the idea that people like Patrick would be forced to obey their superiors or face the consequences of state-sanctioned exile/murder makes me rock hard.

If I led a Communist country, I would ban everything Pat appears to love - Star Wars, How to Train your dragon, bringing laptops to bars, Sci Fi, Mustangs, etc.

Because there are a lot of Diversity & Inclusion consultants, poets and furry artists there who feel like they should be paid 50% more for their valuable contribution to society.
Valueless scum.

Too dumb to realize 'privilege/success' is a symptom.

Combine ability, hard work, good decision-making, and avoidance of excesses and you'll be mostly successful.

These cretins are 1.2 gpa genetic losers, envious retards.

From the 'cons' they've Tomlinsoned their way into, they fail at even maintaining institutions.

Woke is the opposite of competent.

Oil's here to stay because we need it for plastics and fertiliser. Electric vehicles will work for about 90% of use cases.

Hydrogen's just the oil industry trying to get into a new market - the power-to-weight ratio is bullshit and it's a pain in the ass to store as hydrogen molecules are small enough to wedge themselves into the metal of the tank they're in and crack it. The only reason you're seeing it mentioned is because hydrocarbon oil vendors have figured out how to turn hydrocarbons into just hydrogen, and as long as you ignore all the byproducts and just focus on the hydrogen then it looks "green", or blue.

It's almost enough for me to want it to come true. Pat's what such society would call a "use-less eater," he'd be among the first ones lined up against the wall.

What the hell is a "society without consumption" and what did Covid teach us about the value of oil? More people are working from home now than before Covid and oil is more expensive. Obviously because of the embargo on Russia and not Covid.

This is that "be vague and let other people connect the dots" technique that Pat uses to pretend to know what he's talking about.

I learned from Covid:

1) people have an incredibly poor grasp of microbiology and epidemiology
2) people are unable to do basic arithmetic. You could figure out they were grossly exaggerating or lying about COVID’s danger with an iPhone calculator in the first month of the “pandemic”
3) people and politicians make terrible decisions based on the tiniest threats.
4) worthless fucks really liked staying home, getting free money, and pretending that the money wasn’t completely fake
5) people are cowards.
6) old and middle agedwhite people demanded the entire world set itself back 30 years to protect them. Covid lockdowns were the most racist and imperialist policies in a very long time. So good that fat idiots like Patrick can get 4 shots of worthless Covid vaccine and little niglets in Africa aren’t being vaccinated against measles.

We live in a society, mahhhn. One of my sisters is a leftist doctor and even she's smart enough to realize that Obamacare didn't solve anything and we already have universal healthcare: Shitskins get free healthcare and white men pay for it. The sand nigger is right about one thing: In the 21st century, there is no reason for a white-collar worker to come to the office five days a week. I'm thankful for the coof because now I have flex schedule. I go to the office every other day so I don't become a hermit and I don't get too sick of my co-workers.
