I had to go back a few pages and notice it was already posted lol.

It's the way she's generally excited and fascinated by the workings of the TV (which is still pretty neat technology even today) and is talking about it in a way that can make you take interest in it as well, and her cute accent only makes it sweeter.

If you want a little modern day cultural orientation, they're currently trying to cash in on the 'white people are terrible' trend by claiming they're displaced "real" Scandinavians, kind of like how indians talk in America.

Really it was more of a South Africa situation, where whites settled in empty territories and built from scratch.
