~ the hypocrisy is the worse part ~ :stnorm_sm:

I realize its obvious, but when you lay out what they are doing ideologically it becomes even more stark.

Their argument against doxxing and re-posting public information is that
  • Doxxing itself is just a term for publishing public information and is not in and of itself illegal
  • It is bad and wrongthink to post personal information even if it is obtained legally
  • The argument is that by "doxxing" someone there is the implication that they are making it easier for a bad actor to do something illegal with that information.
To mirror their same argument back and show an internal contradiction with this ideology
  • Public outage and pressure campaigns are perfectly legal and an expression of free speech and a free market
  • Protesting cloudflare (or any ddos/securtiy company offering protection services) employees at their home, boycotting them or pressuring the ddos protection and security is perfectly fine.
  • The argument is that by removing their security protections bad actors will commit criminal acts to take them offline. This is Ok because the people pressuring the security services are not themselves doing the crimes.

Basically, it is bad to do something legal (doxxing) , because it can lead to and assist criminals doing crimes. But it is not bad to do something legal (public pressure campaigns), even though that will directly enable and assist criminals doing crimes.

The only difference is from a consequential viewpoint. This was what cloudflare was saying in their initial statement. That the content they are protecting doesn't matter. The police still protect the westboro baptist chruch as long as they follow the laws and get the proper permits.

**note to any unscrupulous lawyer taking this out context as a quote mine. This is an examination of a philosophical argument. It is not a reflection on my thoughts or opinions on any of these topics. Make sure to crop this out of your exhibits as it will hurt your case**
Nice pointing out what we’re all aware of, stupid.

Doxxing is about posting private information that was not public before. Like finding out someone's real identity on a webforum and posting their real identity tying it to some social media or online presence in a public forum or website. Like when people try to expose an anonymous poster or whistleblower and blow their cover or identity. The implication with doxxing is that the information is secret and highly sensitive. And usually is grounds for a criminal court case.

Publishing public information, with the intent for malfeasance, is harassment. Like when people post the phone numbers of politicians or businessmen that are against fag marriage or pro gun rights. Or when people post contact information for a gun manufacturer's CEO all over the internet clearly encouraging their deranged political sociopaths to bombard the person with calls. Or when people show up at the houses of CEOs that run energy companies to rage over some green initiative.

The problem with these lolcows is that they are public figures that post an inordinate amount of persona information online. Chris Chan lived his entire life online in the public basically. They share their every moment. Sending out images of their locations, where they eat, where they take vacations, what bars they frequent, where they work. And act shocked when people track them down, yet are secretly seeking the attention. They attract attention on purpose.

The problem for Kiwifarms is that there is no control nor attribution for what happens to these lolcows. But they are the public face of the whole lolcow internet following. So if one of their cows is harassed even violently or swatted or whatever....they just blame Kiwifarms even if they have no direct proof that anyone from KF had anything to do with it. Kiwifarms is now the online center of being against transgenders unofficially. Simply due to perception that that is the case.

But the thing with all of this now is that it is clear that those in the politically correct side are allowed to dox and harass and basically do whatever they want at this point. And those in the politically incorrect camps can have their lives ruined over literally hoaxes like the whole Oberlin bakery fiasco. Duke Lacrosse. And so on. Mob mentality and now the mob is a politically protected communist entity of unhinged maniacs. Basically defending pedophilia and drag queen shows for kindergarten groups and genital mutilation for teenagers. The politically correct groups that rob, assault, burn down, loot, and behave like animals with total protection from judges and police.

Pretty soon people are going to start protesting body guard companies to leave personas non grata open to robbers and murderers

Dropped by another ddos protection service, thoughts and prayers. Tranny pedophile Keffals takes another W.
Notice their statement. That Kiwifarms was hosting revolting content. Unlike the rest of the web that hosts shit and piss pornography and incest pornography. Dilating guides for trannies. Beheading videos and ISIS footage.
