Yes, of course people are being oversensitive pussies about this, but when you’re campaigning, you need to be aware that you’re reaching out to the stupidest people in the country. People who at this point still claim they’re undecided. People stupider than Pat, Joe, and Nana. So yes while they were (unfunny) jokes, it was dumb as fuck of the Trump campaign to have him come out and do that, even if there’s not a 100% chance it backfires, just the possibility alone is enough that they shouldn’t have done it. There’s a reason both sides usually only bring the blandest most widely-accepted performers and celebrities to these things.
