Yeah, I saw that - he demanded a gun from a cop because he volunteers as a sheriff. Basically he went through SEAL training, made it almost all the way through then got cut at the end for some weapons safety violation during the phase of training that is just admin before graduation.

It sounds bullshit on the surface, but they probably just knew he wasn't a good fit for the teams because he is an arrogant, self absorbed asshole. They reserve the right to "cadre out" anyone they have reservations about, just making it through training doesn't mean they have to make you a SEAL. And with the pieces of shit they have graduated like Jocko, Chris Kyle and Marcus Lutrell, he must have really pissed them off
