There was also a subplot where the sheriff was a Korean War vet (the forgotten war) and he feels enmity towards Rambo because of it. At the same time he’s much more humanized almost by the way he succumbs to Rambo’s wounds. One of the saddest books I’ve ever read.

My grandfather was in the Korean War and he got a couple medals…about 50 years later. It really is a shame how it’s the forgotten war but I thought that was crazy - he was in his 70s and they just now were finally getting around to what he had earned in the marines.

There's no question that it's a dumb movie, and was largely aimed at simpletons, but nonetheless, it was fun, simple, and at least quasi-believable. The sequels were, of course, laughably gay. Some of his post-Rambo movies were just unbelievably retarded, like "Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot" or "Cobra", which is the unintentionally funniest "renegade cop" movie ever, other than the "Death Wish" movies.

Same. The ad breaks are quick and give you a chance to grab a snack or whatever without having to pause.

One of my favorite features is that the movies aren't censored. It's not watered down like it was when they'd put movies on TBS.
