It's just so funny how Joe has been using the internet for many years at this point, and still doesn't understand that it's ALWAYS a scam. He's just totally hapless. I love how he always takes the time to explain the scam, and always fails to realize that he was the only one who didn't know it was bullshit all along.
You can almost see him proudly waddling up to the bank teller window with his check in hand, excitedly bragging to the teller that he's a professional musician and that's how much he makes for just one show. Then, the next day, he's at home, excitedly booking trips and buying shit and the bank calls. Oh, to have been a fly on that wall that day.
