Lol he thought he was gonna be on tour signing books πŸ˜‚
Going from city to city, signing copies of his best-seller for legions of old O&A fans, autographing tits, making the talk show rounds and etc. And then his piece of garbage book was released, and no one cared. No normal person would even want that eyesore in their house, it was just too embarrassing.

He really did get excited that this would bring back the glory days of cumiaing. He had plans for book signings on the west coast, bar appearances, hotel parties etc. He thought it would be good to make his presence known out in LA just in case he needed to discuss movie deals and nights at the viper room with the other big shots. Turned out, after the disaster of a book and his hilarious book signing, his appearance in LA turned into a low key meeting with a lawyer in some bar. He didn't want to embarrass himself further so he downplayed his original party/ signing plans but announced where he would be hanging out in advance with the hope that people would show up and he could get some traction. Turned out, he sat at the bar alone for a few hours, the lawyer came and went, there were 2 photos at the bar, one with another guy and one with just nana and his beer. This lonely vern version of nana is funnier than anything he's ever done

I think up to that point, he legitimately didn't realize just how far into obscurity he was. It had to have been a cold bucket of water in the face for nana.

The fact that his retarded brother was yelling underneath some scaffolding outside during the whole thing and that he had to be escorted out of the building by a huge team of cops/security just added to the myth of nana's fateful book signing. He had to have cried himself to sleep that night.
Seriously, in the NY area he must still have a semblance of an audience and still not one of them showed up. Even that goofy bitch outside rejecting Joe said there was more security than people. How fucking embarrassing.

And Joe was in full "bodyguard" mode, ready to use his "military training" to subdue any libtard protestors who threatened to ruin Nana's big day. Just pure hilarity all the way around.

His "fans" now are no longer people who enjoy humor, they are people who are angry about not getting their white supreme dues from the rest of the country. Mostly people who are angry trump didn't restore the kkk as the law of the land. They band with nana in hopes of owning some libs. I am sure a few are from the NY area, but most are spread out around redneck country

Imagine late that night, after he got home. He no doubt ranted about how so-and-so dropped the ball, and how it was arranged all wrong, and he blamed everyone he possibly could. Then he pretended it didn't bother him, it was "hilarious" and etc. But then when he went to bed (or more likely, passed out) there had to have been a moment of brutal self-awareness, where if only for just a split second, he knew exactly why no one showed up for his book signing.

Pretty sure he had big plans for his book tour after the massive turn out on Long Island. I do know he already bought tickets for a west coast tour. His concerns were that the venues were big enough to accommodate all the fans and parties that would surely follow him around. He had already made plans for all the money that would be dumped on him once his comeback was public. He could pay his loans, keep his house, maybe get an apartment in LA for all the tv offers that would roll in. The look on his face walking out was the realization that he is just stuttering John with more debt.

Nana imagined throngs of die-hard O&A fans lining the streets, like when Stern did his book signings in the 90s. Everyone partying, waving signs, tits everywhere, lines snaking for blocks and blocks. And Joe was in full "bodyguard" mode, ready to use his "military training" to subdue any libtard protestors who threatened to ruin Nana's big day. Just pure hilarity all the way around.
And instead he just unsuccessfully propositioned them for coffee.

He really thought r/opieandanthony was just a vocal minority but really it was everyone left who cared enough to still talk about the show
