Is the Earth flat?

It's a dumb argument to begin with but the plane argument completely destroys it.

You can book one flight from Vancouver to Tokyo, another from Buenos Aires to Sydney, and the flight times will be about the same. This makes total sense on a globe model of the Earth, on any flat earth model that Buenos Aires to Sydney flight should take 5-6 days because they are on complete opposite sides of the Flat Earth.

One Flat Earther actually responded to this by saying every pilot, every flight attendant, every airplane engineer, every air traffic controller is aware the Flat Earth exists and they deliberately slow down/speed up planes to keep the rest of us ignorant.

It's a disc, so you'd can't go by speed, you got to go by RPM like on a record player. In that case, both flights are the same RPM. Duh.

The kicker with a flat earth for me is airplanes and radio wave propagation. That's not to say some alternative explanation couldn't necessarily exist for everything but it would have to be an explanation that replaces the one that currently exists satisfactorily and works as well with all of these phenomena which is unlikely.

I'm not so sure that you need to replace a theory in order to refute it. If you told me you could build a bridge out of marshmallows I wouldn't have to point out that there are better materials in order to argue against you. The insufficiency of marshmallows to bear the load is enough of an argument on its own.

My presupposition is that GPS functions under the currently accepted model of physics, so if you were to replace this model of physics with an alternative one, it would have to be functionally and mathematically equivalent/identical since GPS works. This doesn't have merit to you? then I appreciate your input.
