Is Family Guy a good show?

The Critic did the Family Guy bit way better and first.

My Sunday night routine in high school was getting really high then catching the 10pm double play of Da Critic. I was all Fawkin in with that show, and I vaguely remember loving the season of TV Funhouse they aired then too

Up until that Stewie Griffin movie where he meets his future self, I don't mind it as background tv. First 5 seasons are the best but they don't compare to South Park or Simpsons in terms of decent writing.

Great show. Once Roger started wearing disguises and left the house, the show found its rhythm. I go back and forth on if Roger or Stan is the best character. But I like all of them except Haley.

The original three seasons before it was cancelled was Aces. Since it came back around 2006 it’s been lazy. Like The Simpsons, it depended on good writers since the premise and characters are thin.

I agree with this. It was great for young 20-something edgelords at the time (which I was) but the rut it fell into after returning made it get boring really quick.

I remember really enjoying it years ago, from around 2006-10. Haven’t watched it in a long time now though. I think the last full episode I watched was that Simpsons crossover they did.

I can get a few LOFFS out of it. I watch it in the background while I'm working and enjoy it enough. I'm surprised it's apparently as "hated" now as it's ever been, I remember it sucking way worse a few years ago than it does now.

I had a friend who loved family guy. Asked if I watched it. No. He insisted we watch and put on 3 episodes.

I didn’t laugh once or even chuckle.

Never found it funny at all.

I watched a lot of it growing up. I still enjoy the first 3 seasons and will go back and watch some episodes from time to time, but it sucked after they revived it and I would saying anything past season 5 is pretty much unwatchable shit, especially once it went from Peter being a dumb but well meaning dad to a full fledged retard.

The Christmas episode is PFG though

American Dad is by far the best of the Seth MacFarlane shows by a LOT.

American Dad sucks bit it's a far superior show to family guy. The jokes flow through the story and setting of the plot where in family guy the cut aways just ruin the flow of the story and are incredibly cringe when the joke bombs
