It sounds like you've never been camping before, and you're going by yourself? That's a bad idea, but whatever. As others have said, bring a book and bring booze. Bring a bunch of newspaper. Bring a shitload of water, like more than you think you need. Bring several lighters. Bring a flashlight. Bring a bunch of socks. Bring a bunch of hotdogs. If you don't have a decent sleeping bag, bring a bunch of warm blankets. Being unprepared is the gayest thing you could do to yourself.

I went when I was a kid but never have to do much, just help set up tent etc. good idea on the water.

I've only camped out in an RV and I loved it. Had enough cell service to get steam music and watch YouTube videos so long as I let them buffer for 20 seconds.
