As already explained, you won't get a significant discount for that, even if you finance it, the dealership get all their money at the very start, just like with property. The power you're wielding is telling the dealer you are ready to sign right now, in front of him. That's how you get the discount

Also, if you are doing this with a large dealership and not a family/one guy-shop do it on the last week of the month, when the dealers are rushing to reach/improve their quota
