If Ant hadn't been taking creepshots what would the future of O&A have been?

I see it being one of two scenarios. I think more than likely they’d be doing boring radio while passive aggressively hating each other like the two femmes they are. Basically the Jim and Sam show.

The less likely (but still very plausible) scenario would be Opie’s one year deal strategy would have eventually backfired and they would be lowballed on an offer that they wouldn’t re-sign. Nana would go off and start Compound Media. Opie would shop around for years looking for another show because he thinks he’s amazing and eventually find no buyers. Basically they’d be in the exact same spots they are in literally right now.

Anthony would've gotten fired either way. He was getting way too comfortable saying racist things on air and on Twitter so I would assume he would've gotten fired for the same exact reason as he did but than in another context. This fool failed to understand that everything he says or does is going to be reflected badly on his employer. The media isn't going to be like: "Political commentator Anthony Cumia says Blacks are Savage animals". It's always going to be like: "Anthony Cumia, host of SiriusXM's...".

The fact that he thought he could call Black people niggers and savage animals on saterday and come back to work on Monday always cracks my ribs. The level of delusion and out of toch of reality is astounding.

The difference between Anthony and basically every other talk show host or comedy show including Stern, South Park, Jeselnik, was that Anthony refused to censor himself for the bosses. And Opie was very much the same where he would not censor himself AND would air the dirty laundry of corporate right on the air which no one else did. And the fact is that Opie never once censored Ant for his nigger and Trayvon tirades. He might play Candy Crush or just zone out but he always let Anthony rant and Opie would always let callers get on the air to talk race. And once management said "slow down on the race stuff" it probably pushed both of them to take it further.

The fact is that O&A were basically the only talk show on any mainstream platform to call Trayvon a 'thug'. No one else had the courage nor the sense. Imagine something like Tough Crowd during the Trayvon trial. You think Comedy Central allows them to even mention Trayvon on the air? You think Colin would put up a fight? And look at how South Park handled the Trayvon trial. Not one mention about how Trayvon was a violent nigger drug addict and total loser. Or making perfect mockery of the giant gorilla sheboon who had to testifying during the trial. "Thas real ignant....sir". They handled it in the most faggy way possible.

Anthony and Opie did not really care if they got fired. They had been fired from a bunch of jobs before. And they HATED Sirius and XM as companies. They were basically waiting to get fired after the Homeless Charlie incident. And they knew management hated them. The only one who it seems actually liked Sirius was Norton because he gets an easy paycheck and gets to meet celebrities.

This can't be overstated. Let's not forget that Compound Media went online in 2014 and experienced the entirety of the Culture War and the Trump administration from start to finish. A boom period for any commentator, talking head and grifter located to the right of Pelosi. And Nana missed out on all of it. If anything, he lost viewers as old O&A listeners tapped out over the years.

CM's awful business model, mismanagement and AntH's terrible on-camera performance were obvious factors for the stillborn rise again, but there's also the simple fact that he just doesn't have anything to offer when it comes to politics. His pundit appeal is non-existent because his political views suffer from a three-punch knockout of being superficial, inconsistent and overemotional. His stances in any given subject are almost entirely reactionary and uninformed. It's a toxic cocktail for likeability.

It's shocking how well-placed he was to ride the oncoming wave of political sperging, far better than almost all of those who did manage to succeed in it, and how he completely squandered a golden opportunity through sheer incompetence.

He made the safest decision. More people would have jumped on board for CP Media with Norton as cohost. More comedians probably would have been guests.
