I still can't believe he got $100K in legal funding and accomplished nothing in 9 months

It's actually staggering how incompetent his legal team was. They actually didn't accomplish one thing for him and left him open to owing the person he was trying to identify $24K.

Not only that, he's also incredibly fat by each and every medical standard.

It's nearer $30k, once his Google subpoena (which Quasi also objected to) gets quashed.

Just think, if Pat had represented himself he'd have failed on exactly the same grounds (Krinsky) but for maybe $1000 in court fees and an afternoon of his time. That other $100k - what was that for? What was it spent on? Why the fuck did Judge Schulman lecture Pat's legal team on the First Amendment - why didn't they know that shit already? Why the fuck did they submit the same paperwork to Judge Stein twice, given that they were supposed to rewrite it? How is that going to fucking help?

I suspect them asking for another submission that satisfies Krinsky was their way of saying "you obviously don't have shit, why don't you save time and stop contesting the quash", but Resto et al decided to keep milking the pig.

Zero remorse for pissing away 6 figures on this vanity project either. Not because it's taking funds away from defending pedophiles mind you, but purely because he's a selfish piece of shit.
It’s because he’s been spending other peoples money for years. He spends his life tweeting while unemployed and hasn’t earned any money in years. Even when he loses he believes he doesn’t have to pay because he said so. Quite a mental case and very fat.

To put that into perspective, SFWA had net income of 42K in 2019 and a net loss of 15K in 2018. If the board votes to forgive the loan, SFWA will have a big net loss in 2021 and be forced to dip into the endowment to fund operations.
This has to be a blow to the people currently running the SFWA. There has to be a faction that is less enthusiastic about wasting money defending pedophiles and undermining the 1st amendment that can use this misadventure as ammunition to argue for a change in leadership. Or they can keep throwing away money until they're no longer able to pay the bills.

Ouch. One has to wonder how much longer they entertain this horseshit. This was all in service of making martyrs out of Boykin and Rahul, and we all know how that turned out.

It would have been funny if he had been kept in the dark, and served papers to an oblivious Canyon. The Canyon Boykin thing was too perfect a present to be wrapped up for Rick. As he said to Josiah, he has Rahul and Canyon's identifications, he didn't care about the lawsuit at that point. How many nights did he imagine his big day in court, the brave victimized hero versus the racist police officer who killed a black guy at a traffic stop. All the attention and sympathy from the jury as they all take his side, every last juror validating that he's a good boy. We're both public figures, this trial could get national media attention, then the entire world can validate that I AM THE BESTEST BOY!

He was in control. He was telling anybody who'd listen, tweeting Canyon facts, spending frivolously, "your life is coming to an end, stlaker". But it was all an elaborate reverse-catfish, a con too good to be true, and plenty of stupid fat Midwesterners fall for internet ruses every day. Instead of exploiting your hopeless romantic side, pretending to be a beautiful lonely girl, they pretended to be your perfect strawman villain.

I guess it's good Canyon didn't get financially wrapped up in this at all, but man those legal briefs would have been something. Canyon's lawyers denying everything and Pat's submitting evidence of illegally obtained screenshots as "proof".

Not even that - the SWFA is a voluntary organisation; you don't have to join. People join, and pay their dues (or not, in the case of black folk) because they think it'll help them directly, or help the industry as a whole; or maybe accomplish some sort of social good.

"Fat, belligerent, drunken loudmouth needs your money to silence his critics" is not a cause most would support, and once word gets out it could be quite hard to convince badly-paid authors to keep funding an organisation dedicated to such horseshit.

With a bit of luck, Patrick's going to sink the whole fucking organisation.

he had (i say had, because statute of limitations have now passed, oopsie doodles) a few claims where he could have went after a few rascals for defamation.

but see, just getting a couple of people named in a suit would not be enough for rick. he wants to make sure all of us see the death penalty and he truly thinks that we're all part of a criminal conspiriacy (la costra nosta, this thing of ours).

blinded by his own narcissm, and encouraged by a couple of pedo enablers who were angered over a few sketches of mary kowal and fat rambo he overreached just like he overeats. now he gets egg noodles and ketchup, seethe and cope fat boy
