He made the fictional character a women because he sexually fantasizes about hurting women. Not in a fun, "bad girls get spanked" way where both parties enjoy it, in a violent and sadistic way. If a lady has an opinion he disagrees with, he feels obligated to punish that lady with whatever punishment he feels she "deserves", with rape being an appropriate punishment depending on how Republican you are.

That's what makes his little microdick hard. Imagining a scenario where he defeats some random woman, sipping a free beer while she drives home hysterically sobbing, because of what he did.
