Why are corporations so hell bent on PPTs? Never got this obsession.

It is such a shitty medium for communication. First of all, no matter how good the presenter is;

The info is never detailed, it's short and concise, and you forget everything within 5mins.

Also you are focused on the presenter rather than the info itself.

Detailed reports and guides are much more helpful compared to 10 words dumb slides.

I was king of the no-prep jones presentations. Get hammered the night before, didn't know what the next slides were but knew the material backwards and forwards.

Keep it slow, make some anecdotes, use 'interrupting expert' guy to bounce some points off of and get him on your team. Take questions and have the audience field answers.

Drop mic, go get brunch and start drinking again.

pretty much, I was supposed to be the third mic Norton guy offering tech analysis but 15 seconds before it was due to start I got told the others aren’t doing the actual thing and I had to.

I’m not bothered about it if I had just projected confidence and not explained I led the development but I’m not a user and my training ability for users is limited and just reorientated the whole thing, but I couldn’t think clearly and just came across as weak nervous and unprepared.

I’m most likely going to kill myself. Or play video games and forget about it. Either option works.

I’m bipolar with my confidence in public speaking, some times I can do it impressively to a full room and other times I can’t call one person on teams without being nervous.

I don’t know why or what I can do about it, it’s just random and I just enjoy it when it’s good knowing the retard mode is looming.
