I think it was more about the fact that SiriusXM didn't want to restrict any of their shows on what was being said on air, because it could set a precedent and goes against the whole "everything goes on satellite radio". So when the idiot tweeted his racist shit, they figured that this was getting out of hand and decided to rightfully fire him. What Anthony still fails to understand is that he thinks that people should think that his tweets are somehow detached from him and shouldn't effect his personal life.
There was a rumor management had warned Cumia about the daily race rants. When Tim Sabean took over the channel in 2013 the rants more or less stopped for a short while.
I think if he had thought about it for a second he would not have done it. But he was drunk and angry over his own impotence. He posted it out of rage and humiliation and BEER. Above all else… beer. He’s let beer ruin his life. He’ll always be trash inside and now he’s just letting the trash take over. It’s a shame, he used to be funny on purpose.
That makes a lot of sense. Explains a lot of the tension between those two, as well as why Opie was so eager to continue without him.
