I used to work with this guy, I think he was about 65. He did archive records stuff, basically what the old people get to do since it’s essentially copy pasting. Nice guy, had a lot of interesting stories. Didn’t retire because his wife became paralysed and the medical costs were obscene.

Anyway, he was talking to a group of us and he said something along the lines of “I don’t listen to the radio anymore, it’s all that rap stuff, my nigga this, my nigga that” - it was a little uncomfortable but we all know he was just a bit naive. Nothing malicious at all.

Some fucking cunt woman reported him for it, and took months off on full pay because it gave her PTSD.

He was of course fired and presumably lost a bunch of benefits and him and his wife are now fucked, but who cares right? He uttered the N word!

I wish I was lying about it, it’s completely fucking insane.

I’ve seen people get formal warnings for slight mispronunciations of some fucking Indian guys stupid fucking Indian name. If I have to ever interact with him, it’s just “buddy” and “dude”.
