Nigs overwhelmingly voted Democrat after the Civil Rights bill passed and as we get further and further from that time we see more and more blacks vote Republican. Because the issue is no longer “Well Democrats gave us rights” because a lot of black people weren’t alive for that time. They prioritize events that happened in their lifetime, etc

That and democrats have long assumed since civil rights they automatically will get the black vote. I didn’t mean all blacks mindlessly vote democrat but they are encouraged to. There’s an ad right now in the Philly area for city elections where they tell you to first vote for these two democrats in the ad running - then vote 3 other Dems - they don’t even say the names - just vote for whoever else they have with a D after their name. It’s bizarre

Yes and no on that and I mean following civil rights. Democrats still assume they will always have the black vote no matter what and if they see the polls aren’t going well they ramp up the black promises on the campaign and then have every excuse when they get their votes why they can’t deliver on what they promised. This is done by both sides, say you’re going to do X, get elected - then blame the other side why you can’t do it. I use the reparations as an example because I notice certain democrats start using that idea when they need votes. It’s never gonna happen - but dont tell your voters that.

Yes i agree and this extends further than even just race. A huge topic of the 2020 election for Democrats was green energy and legalized weed. And while Dems have made some progress on green energy (but also shooting themselves in the foot by approving oil drilling projects) they haven’t made a single attempt at legalizing weed which is fucking ridiculous. I’m not even one of these stoners who think its a miracle drug but it shouldn’t be in the same classification as hard drugs. And the Dems did nothing about it in 4 years. And GUARANTEED this cycle they’ll come out propositioning it again to get young Dem voters while doing nothing for the next 4 years.

I personally think the majority of politicians now are trash on both sides. The bar was never high but now I can’t even think of many politicians one would consider “likable” or “authentic”

Look at John Fetterman - his whole “blue collar working guy regular Joe” is a complete lie. He’s some dumb rich kid that lived off his parents into his 40s. He’s never even held a “blue collar” job yet is sold as the working man.

I really wanted for the republicans to AT LEAST have someone that them - and Trump could get behind. Trump could use his popularity and tell people this person is great and hype them up that way he helps the party and doesny have to deal with BS of a campaign / being president again and live his life out in Sunny Florida playing golf. There are so many lobbies halting progress with respect to weed/most drug legalization and "green energy". Nuclear energy is our real long term solution to phasing out oil and gas, but I never hear people talkimbout nuclear energy.
