They actually decided to have the character turn into a woman a few years back and the show saw the worst ratings in its entire history.

She likely blames tawksic masculinity for that but the reality is that the show is made by retards now. The kind of retards who think that gender-swapping and woke platitudes are an acceptable alternative to decent writing and production. People who are wise to this nonsense avoided it, the ones who weren't dropped it after a few episodes because it's shit, and the kind of mongoloids like Catie wouldn't have been a sizeable audience even if half of them even bothered to watch the turds they defend (they rarely do).

Now the suits are desperately trying to regain their lost audience by packpedaling and floating the idea of hiring a fucking white male again, but that's like trying to treat cancer with cosmetics. They need to purge the whole writers' room and start anew for it to have any hope of being watchable.

I haven't gotten to Jodie's Doctor Who, but good God, I have not heard much positive about it. Even the neighbours didn't say nice words about it.

I think you can make it work, but I'm perversely awaiting just to see how bad this can be. Who's worse than Colin fucking Baker, really?

Whitaker's a good actor, but she's not a Dr Who fan and the showrunner told her not to watch any previous episodes and then didn't explain what he wanted from her, so she's no idea what to do. Also the showrunner is the one who wrote the worst episode of Dr Who - the Tomlinson-esque "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" - so she and everyone else involved is left with nothing in the script to work with. Also, he casts via Pantone chart rather than talent or experience so the directors have a shit script and few decent actors to work with; but luckily he's hired most of the directors via Pantone chart and gender confusion rather than talent or experience so they don't really know any better. Also, he's shit at handling the lore as well.

It's great; ignore the haters, you'll love it.
