I gave up on listening to music years ago. At least recreationally, anyways. I stopped liking new shit that was coming out while simultaneously getting bored listening to what I like over and over again. Now I only enjoy the music I create and just use other music as a point of reference.

Years back cassette,vinyl,8-track, especially when they went out of favor you could buy fifty 8-tracks for fifteen bucks at flea market, have over 300 cd's that play on 1970's Sansui rack system 919 amp,etc.. used cheapy sony cd players that sound wasn't good as vinyl so went to vinyl, last cd player shit the bed recently, bought a used high end sony xa20es with digital/analog conversion, they were 700 new but can be had for like 200 now on ebay, after that purchase its been for most part fuck vinyl

I mostly listen to music in the car. FM radio, CD or YouTube Music. My car holds 6 discs, currently it's 5 Type O Negative albums and the Rammstein album with Deutschland on it.

I download the shit to mp3 and just save it. If the need to bring music along I will usually put a playlist on my cellphone. TBQHWY I really don't listen to much music except when im trying to bring out my inner joeh cumia on guitar.

Streaming is nice and convenient, but I like having my own collection curated and not everything I have can be found on services. I go deep with the tunes.
