I'm just going to transcribe what Gosia said because I completely agree with her here:

In that video, it's an act. The performance a narcissist puts on to charm a sucker into their orbit, until the claws are in, and the real monster comes out.

I give him credit, actually - at that time, he kind of pulls it off. If you really look, you can see the awkwardness of the acting; he's basing it off of the normal people he's observed over time, so it's an amalgamation of several examples parsed and pieced. If you're really looking, it's not natural, but if you're like most and just seeing the surface, then yes, he can pass it off.

It was probably always a fragile shell. The first crack came with the wife leaving him. So he overcompensated with social media and conventions - pushing an extroverted personality when he's truly a natural introvert. That takes a lot of energy that can break someone over time - again going back to the acting. But, for the time, it heals the shell a bit. Then Trump wins office, and the weakened ego he has takes a personal blow to it (Ray here: I asked Mal how the hell that's personal,; she doesn't get it either but it's her perception), destroying the shell. Now he's full-on defensive, asshole Narcissist 24/7, but still thinks he's acting like a smooth Atalker who wins everyone over. He can't pull off the act anymore - he's tired, he's broken, and he's lost. But he has nothing of value left in his life, so he continues like nothing has changed. And that's why the illusion he painted has become delusion, and it's blatantly obvious.

Mr. Wilson*, I feel like it's about time someone emails Ray and Gosia to get them to comment on this felony identity cybertheft.

Wait quietly for the knock, Atalker.

For it will be a copy of my new album, The Weight of Man, on your doorstep from Amazon.
