How come old looney tunes cartoons are still funny, but any other comedy from that era and before is dated and shit?

Man that's reminds me of an old baseball episode of some cartoon. Someone from the crowd yelled that the umpire it blind, and it cuts to the umpire saying something, wearing blind man's glasses, and had a mug in his hand that was full of pens.
I can't find it on YouTube, but now I gotta see it. It's been almost 30 years since I remember seeing it.

Still holds up. Made me laugh more now that I understand some of the other jokes I didn't understand as a kid.
