He either got reprimanded or he’s been hitting that Perrier / Jameson bottle too hard

Joseph is really coping here, if you ask me. Why go on some diatribe like this is you’re really just enjoying the fact you’re an earning musician? Smells like an angry bovine to me… either that or he’s been reading the posts here.

"I never wanted to be a rock star"...that's terrific, Joe, because you aren't one. You're an amateur guitar hobbyist, who never had the talent, work ethic, or gumption to rise above being a fat-fingered, showboating faggot who believes memorizing old Journey tunes qualifies you to call yourself a "pro musician". And now, you're trapped on a sad creaky tub, braying and mooing to a disinterested crowd of elderly rubes, dressed in rags, with your fingers and throat aching, just dying to go back home and resume your pitiful layabout, wastrel lifestyle.

Carol saying "Keep getting outside" tells me that he's been complaining to her about going stir crazy. Stuck in his windowless, cramped, leaking cell, breathing in dust, bacteria, and his own putrid emissions all day. Going outside just brings him 49 degree temperature, overcast skies, drizzling rain, and feeling invisible amongst happy passengers.

Ugh, these reactions are exactly what he wanted when he posted this drivel. Fucking 17 year old girls don't even sink this low for a dopamine hit.
He is just setting the table to never do this cruise ship gig ever again. He is acting like he is having a great time but all his pics look like he is miserable. Been on that ship for over a month and still hasnt made any friends. Hilarious that he is adding all these port city's as places he has played. Even though he is playing in the same waiting room every time.

Imagine flying this retard to other countries only to play a handful of cover songs. At best he is a wine festival act.

There's a whole lot of coping going on, but it's obvious that the experience is slowly breaking him. By this point, his voice is shot, his fingers ache, and he no doubt sounds and looks terrible. This was way more than Joe was prepared to handle, and deep down in that part of his mind he's always suppressing, he knows it. He's struggling to summon that Showboat Joe bravado, but he's feeling like the aging failure he really is. And he wants to quit, but he dreads the mockery and scorn he'll face if he does.

I think the “missing home and my people” there at the end is very, very telling. He’s absolutely on the breaking point because he’s all alone out there with nobody to wash his balls and treat him with the respect he thinks he deserves.

And after he comes home, he's supposedly jumping right into his Steely Dan cover band, which for him is somewhat challenging material. He's going to be in no shape to do any gigs for a while after he disembarks from this fiasco, and he knows it. He concocted this cockamamie plan, and told anyone who'd listen about how jam-packed and lucrative his upcoming schedule would be. And now he's in the middle of it, and he's absolutely dying.
