They're fucking done. GTA V and RDR2 cared far more about being critic/streamer bait than fun, all the old guard has left, and they've already announced that they no longer want to "punch down" with GTA 6 and that the "fratboy culture" has been removed.

Their games have always kind of been mechanical failures in terms of driving, shooting, mission structure, etc, but they were well masked behind great writing and fun contexts to your actions. Very unsurprising their leadership didn't give a shit about the original trilogy that built them that reputation.

How does that in any way affect the game?

It just feels like one of those shitty game that spent big money on Hollywood actors and 10 dollars on development, and the hollyweird junkies don't care/can't even remember doing 10 hours of voice work on it. That dead junkie from friends and that junkie from Taken that can't hold his piss in come to mind, prime example of don't show don't know don't care while drinking their juice in the hood

Neo in cyberpunk is really really shitty and annoying, they must have paid him like 10mil for that

They have got the True Detective guy in one of those new games and he even did a few minutes of live announcement with the alright alright alright shit, but you can tell that junkie was high as fuck and the game is going to be shit

Yeah. The Housers and VO crew said a lot of the celebrities in Vice City were a huge asspain to work with, especially Burt Reynolds. That was a big reason why they moved off celebrities a bit in San Andreas and almost entirely by IV. I remember Liotta in particular crying a few months later that he didn't get paid enough, I think after realizing how big the game became.

I guess I'm glad he was such a moody bitch because I'll always appreciate talented nobodies over half-assing Hollywood fags. Niko and John Marston were great.

The "remasters" consist out the original code and files crowbarred into a shitty new engine that's held together with duct tape and string as it is. They weren't just bad, they were pretty much unplayable on launch and I doubt they've bothered to fix most of the bugs since then.

Just pirate the games and download unofficial patches and graphics and cut content mods and you'll have a vastly better remaster than anything a studio could pump out these days.
