Elaine May (director of Ishtar) directed Mikey and Nicky (1976) w/ John Cassavetes, Peter Falk & Ned Beatty, it’s worth a watch for the actors involved.

Mary Harron who made American Psycho aIso directed I Shot Andy Warhol (1996) which is worth a look too.

The Plot Against the President (2020) was directed by Amanda Milius (daughter of John Milius) and it’s a damn fine documentary about FISA-gate.

Not directed but I was surprised when I found out Slap Shot was written by a broad. Her brother played minor league hockey so a lot of the stuff is supposed to be pretty accurate.

Her brother (who Ned Braden is based on) makes a cameo as Oggi Ogilthorpe and later went on to executive produce St Mel's Apocalypto. She makes a cameo too, she's the mystery owner, Paul Newman helps bring in her groceries.

Wow never knew Mikey and Nicky was a broad director. Great movie, always loved the Cassavetes because of what a scumbag he was off set apparently.

There are some good recommendations there. Be careful about torrenting though. I've had a couple of love letters from Paramount Pictures recently.

For movies, I've been turning off seeding until it's downloaded and then moving the file to a different hard drive. There might be an easier way though, I'm no expert.
