Whole thing turned out to be a bit of a joke. I'm trying to remember if boxing was always this shit or if there was a point after a fight i didn't think "last time i bother with this crap" to myself.
I prefer boxing to MMA, the problem is the good fights happen maybe once a year or once every 2 years, and even then it’s only because they are old and out of their prime - or one believes he’s got an advantage by weight draining the other etc.
Then you get those horrible broadcasts last night with hours and hours of dead air or music nobody wants.
It makes it very hard to stay engaged with boxing. The great fights seem to happen when they are 39 years old and way past it.
Haney, Ryan Garcia, Loma at least try to be changing it. Canelo genuinely does take on all challenges and chase greatness, but for the most part it’s the same old story.
