Think about all those singing shows, dancing with the stars, America’s got talent, those random NBC/CBS prime time drama shows - they all claim to have millions of viewers but I’ve never spoken to a single person who watches any of them. The Simpsons falls into the exact same category.

They have a huge animation budget and aren’t drawing each frame by hand anymore so it’s like they have to have something moving at all times and do new things with perspectives that they wouldn’t / couldn’t do 20 years ago, just for the sake of doing it
