You should try pigeon. Eats pretty good.

Saw a video - maybe it was on Vice, but I can't find it now - of a guy who hunted pigeons in a city w a sling. Apparently pigeon meat tastes PFG, but knowing what they probably eat off the sidewalk and out of gutters turns me off to the idea.

I don't think anyone should have to rationalize their personal taboos when it comes to what animals they want to eat. Sometimes it is as basic as "the thought of it just bugs me" and that should be valid enough.

There's a JRE where that hunter Adam Rinella talks about visiting Indians in the Amazon. He's overjoyed at seeing what is such a strange ecosystem to him and asks his guide questions about every animal they encounter.

Do they hunt this bird, this lizard, this spider? Yes, no, sometimes.

Why? In some cases they're poisonous or they don't taste good. For most examples, though, the guide just says "Well, we just don't eat those things."

Why not? "I don't know, we just  don't."

I agree with this, I don’t really have a good reason for not wanting to eat insects, I just don’t want to because it’s not what I eat. Not going to stop anyone else from doing it though.

The worst food I ever ate was whale sashimi. Tastes fucking awful.
