It’s kinda like when Stephen king stop doing drugs his writing went to hell
Except with Kev, the constant weed smoking destroyed his ability to make movies anyone would actually want to see. He was zapped out of his mind for years on end, and had a lot of really retarded stoned ideas, all of which were really bad ones. Like that walrus movie, or that Yoga Hosers thing. They sounded like good ideas to him when he was completely baked at 8:30 in the morning, and no one said "no, bad idea, bro".

Correct The DMAN if he's wrong but the walrus movie was more like an inside joke from his podcast that just went way too far because he was adamant to commit to his own bit. That said, some of those old podcasts he did with Mosier and his friend "Bry" were fantastic.

Clerks 2, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks 1 and the Clerks Cartoon are all great and enjoyable. In that order.
I forgot about the Clerks cartoon, but yeah, that was pretty good.

I enjoyed some of the ones he did with Jason Mewes, too. In hindsight, the whole weed thing was really bizarre, and quite gay. He could have just smoked some pot and kept it to himself, but he got into it and immediately became a fanatical weed advocate, to a point where he never shut the fuck up about it. And it clearly affected his work, too. Then he quit, and made a whole big retarded thing out of that, too. Getting addicted to fucking weed when you're over 40 is something a person really ought to keep to themselves, as it's just embarrassing.

He briefly joined forces with Jon Lovitz and did a podcast with him about SNL. Then they had a falling out and he did a series of podcasts trashing him. I remember those as being awesome but they seem to be wiped from the 'net.

The series of casts where they talk about Meweseses heroin shit was pretty great and then they explain the whole point of the podcast was so keep him clean. Chilling stuff.
