2020 was Christmas on zoom, 2021 half of us had just had COVID half still had it so wasn't a full one including my grandparents who we visited on their doorstep as they had COVID and wouldn't get involved.

This year 35 family members getting together but I don't get to see the ones I like until boxing day 🤷‍♂️

I like Christmas just for the tree and lights. I’m at an age where getting presents don’t really matter, it’s more for the kid and the ol lady.
I don’t spend it with family, because they’re all scattered across the world, and it honestly doesn’t bother me, as I rarely talk to them anyway.

I wish Thanksgiving and Christmas week or then a month apart. Too much travel and work back to back. Need Thanksgiving in October like Canada does. And maybe Christmas in January like Eastern Orthodox do.
we don't have thanksgiving, but I could see how 2 close holidays would take the shine off both.

I'm not a fan of birthdays - people expecting me to be extra cheerful just feels like pressure. I like christmas; I can drink like I normally do without looking weird, & good food, relaxation & a few gifts is nice once a year.
