All I could find is a man in his 80s who shot himself to death (intentionally) with a miniature cannon loaded with blanks he used to scare away animals from his garden.

No, but a guy in town did manage to kill himself using a pipe, a hammer, and some random ammo he had on him.

He was visiting a girl he had met online and she catfished him pretty hard and ghosted him. He couldn't take it, but didn't bring his gun with him, so he fashioned one out of random shit and did a pretty good job of it.

Then again, our police force is pretty dense so they may have made most of that shit up because they were too lazy to look for an actual gun.

My best friend "went out" with my sister once. I was pretty pissed off about it but they were both sluts so what can ya do? Anyways she broke up with him during a screening of The Titanic and he got all melodramatic and threatened to kill himself in the theatre. I was a little alarmed until I realized he intended to choke himself to death with his bare hands.

So I settled back in my chair with my popcorn to see where it went but of course all the stupid GIRLS we were there with freaked out. "He's gonna die!"

He was also in the wooded creek area out between a government building and a neighborhood, and apparently was out there for about 3 weeks just rotting away before a lady complained about the smell. I imagine there wasn't much left to deal with, there are a lot of feral cats and dogs that roam around there and it was spring going on into summer when it happened.

I'm pretty sure his actual gun is still out there in the brush because the cops were too fat or scared to get in there and actually look.
