We’re not really friends anymore but he always calls my dad by his first name which I think is weird. I’m not entirely sure when it started but it’s been a while. I grew up with that dude and there’s no circumstance where I’d ever call his dad “Tom.”

That’s a good point actually. For my entire life I’ve called my parents’ neighbor Mr. blah blah but we always called his wife by her first name. I literally have no idea why. I called my dad’s one friend Mr. so&so when we were fishing and he told me to grow up so I just call him by his last name now.

The more that I think about it I think it’s a matter of when you met them. I call some of my dad’s friends by their first name because I met them when I was out of HS. But like if I knew them when I was a child I’ll call them Mr. so&so. Thanks for tuning into my blog. Hit the subscribe button.
